Public Transport Free on New Year's Eve

Public transport will remain open and free of cost between 05:00 PM on Dec 31st- 12:00 PM on Jan 1st, 2009. Metro, Buses and RER will be available on selected routes of high traffic.

In a gesture to make life easier for the Party goers of New Year's Eve, the STIF (Syndicate of Transports of Ile-de-France) have announced the availability of public transport system for the night.

Metro:

All lines of Metro are available till 02:15 AM on Jan 1st.

Lines 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 14 will be available from 02:15 AM- 05:30 AM (in addition to the regular availability and time).

These metros will be available at the terminus (last stations on either side of the Line), certain important stations and stations with transfers to other Metros/ RER.

Other lines will close at the regular time. 

 

RER: 

RER A, B, C, D and E will be available at important stations and transfer points. throughout the night with a frequency of 30 minutes- 2 hours.

 

Noctilien (Night Time buses):

Buses will be available throughout the night.

Bus no.s N01, N02, N11, N12, N13, N14, N15 and N16 will not be available.

N21, N22, N23, N24 & N122 will terminate Chatelet

N51, N53 & N153 will have a changed route. The circuit will be available on board.

Changes in route for N120 & N121. Normally passing through Chatelet, these will be limited to Gare de L'Est, Gare de Montparnasse & Gare de Lyon.
