The Dalai Lama in Toulouse in August 2011

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will be in Toulouse in August 2011 for 3 days of teachings and public conference. The program covers two days of teachings on “The Ornament of the Middle Way,” by Shantarakshita and a public talk on “The Art of Happiness”.

The registration for the event is already on at the website of the programme organised by the Association 'Chemins de Sagesse' . Full programme including teachings and the public conference has a ticket price of 135€. There are various options of attending full programme, teachings only or the public conference only. The teachings can be attended by all public, Buddhist or not. Children, however, will be allowed only for the public conference on August 15th, 2011. Those who wish to donate for the monastic community to cover their cost of participation for the teachings can donate to the organisers.


His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been to France in Nantes in 2008 for a 5-day teaching schedule around which time he  made several public appearances and met with the First Lady Carla Bruni. Readers may remember that the Dalai Lama is an honorary citizen of Paris.
