Vivek Badrinath appointed CEO of Orange Business Service

Joining the ranks of the persons of Indian origin holding top positions in the global corporate world is Vivek Badrinath who has been appointed CEO of the Orange Business Services in Paris from April 6th, 2010 as per an official press release of the France Telecom-Orange group.


An Ecole Polytechnique –Télécom (Paris) graduate, Vivek assumes his new responsibilities as executive vice president in charge of Enterprise Communication Services, grouping Orange Business Services and the Enterprise Line of Business. Based in Paris, Vivek Badrinath will report to Stéphane Richard, chief executive officer of France Telecom-Orange, and will be a member of the Group’s Executive Committee.


Till recently, Vivek Badrinath was the Executive Vice-President in charge of the Networks and Operations division of France Telecom taking care of the business in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East. Vivek has 17 years of experience in the telecom industry. He started his career in 1992 with the French Ministry of Industry. He joined France Telecom in 1996 in the Long Distance Networks Department before taking up assignment as CEO of Thomson India in 2000. He rejoined France Telecom Group as the Chief Technical Officer of Orange in 2004.
