Free Taekwondo and Nordic Walking for Seniors

All Parisians of 55 years and above, in a reasonable good health, can enjoy free classes of Taekwondo and Nordic Walking in Paris starting February 3rd. The municipality of the city of Paris has launched the card "Senior +" that offers free access to these disciplines.

 

Starting 3rd February, 2010, seniors fulfilling certain creterion can enjoy Taekwondo and Nordic Walking for free. The criterion includes being a resident of Paris, aged 55 years or above. One needs to fill in the demand for enrolment, send the enrolment file duly signed and filled in with 2 identical photos, a proof of residence and a medical certificate (of non contraindication to the practice of physical and sportive activities, dating not more than 3 months).

 

 

The card is delivered free of cost at the site of chosen sportive activity once the demand for enrolment is accepted. The enrolment is subject to the availability of places available. The card 'Senior +' is independent of access to other sportive active that a person may exercise such as with sports club of CASVP- Centre of Social Action of the City of Paris (Centre d'action sociale de la Ville de Paris). 

 

The enrolment can also be made at the following address starting Thursday, February 4th from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM and from Wednesday, February 10th from 02:00 PM- 05:00 PM.

It must be kept in mind that any false declaration made to public administration in order to get undue advantages may lead to an imprisonment of 2 years and a fine of 30,000 Euros according to article 441-6 of the Penal Code.
