This month, Paris will host the world's oldest Sanskrit theatre - Kuttiyattam- ritual theatre of Kerala- in an exceptional performance of Kalidas's Abhijnana Shakuntala in a single show of seven hours by the troupe of Natana Kairali under the artistic direction of Gopal Venu !


That's right! In honour of Kuttiyattam and the artists behind it its revival, Indians in Paris, in collaboration with the Salle Pleyel - Cité de la Musique, is giving you the opportunity to see this performance by winning an invitation for two persons for the Kuttiyattam show at Salle Pleyel on June 26th, 2010. Indians in Paris My-Kuttiyattam-Show Contest Rules and Conditions

This contest is organized by Indians in Paris, hereafter referred to as IIP, in collaboration with Salle Pleyel - Cité de la Musique. Here are the general rules and conditions.

1) The contest is open to anyone above 18 years of age, residing in Metropolitan France or capable of receiving the invitations in Metropolitan France. The contestants do not have to be a member of IIP, Salle Pleyel, Cité de la Musique or related websites. The contest is free of charge and without any obligation to purchase.

3) All correct entries will be eligible to a be drawn in a lot. The winner will be informed by e-mail. On reception of the mail, the winner should be able to provide a postal address in Metropolitan France in order to receive the invitations. In case of the absence of correspondence from the winner within 2 days following the closing of the contest and subsequent demand of postal address, next winner shall be drawn from the lot. If the winner refuses to accept the prize, the next winner shall be decided by the lot. The Substitute Winner will be contacted as mentioned above and required to comply with the prizes awarding process.

4) By submitting an entry to the contest, you are bound by these Official Rules and Conditions and accept and agree to be contacted by Indians in Paris in the event of winning the contest.

5) The use of copyrighted material or trademarks NOT owned by yourself is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Your submission must not infringe any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, or any privacy, publicity or publishing rights of any third party, or be libellous, obscene or otherwise contrary to law.

6) Any personal information given to IIP when you enter this Contest will only be used to contact you in relation to this Contest. All information concerning non-winning entries will be deleted after the end of the Contest. The personal information concerning the winning entries will be only used in the context of this Contest and use of your entry as agreed between you and IIP. This information will not be disclosed to any third party or used for any other purpose. 7) All entries must be received via email prior to 11:59 PM (Paris time), Sunday, June 20, 2010 (the "Contest Conclusion") and must be in English. Entries which do not conform to these Official Rules and Conditions will not be accepted. The Contest is limited to one entry per person.

8) IIP is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, incorrect, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be void. Use of a false name, mailing address, or email account will disqualify an entry and the individual who submitted the entry. Use of obscenities, racist, sexist, hateful or other material or depictions that, in IIP's judgement, are inappropriate or offensive, will disqualify an entry. IIP is not responsible for hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, server unavailability due to technical, capacity constraints or other issues, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic or other communications. IIP, in its sole discretion, can disqualify, from this Contest and/or any other contest conducted by IIP, any person who, in IIP's reasonable suspicion, tampers with the entry process or the operation of the web site. IIP and Salle Pleyel - Cité de la Musique have the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if, in IIP and Salle Pleyel - Cité de la Musique's judgement, the Contest is altered, corrupted or cannot be completed as planned due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other conditions beyond their control, or at their reasonable discretion. Incomplete entries are invalid, and entrants with incomplete entries will be disqualified. IIP is not liable for any event or incident that may prevent the event/ show from happening and/ or damages or demand of compensation arising out of it.

9) Prize description: The prize is one invitation valid for 2 persons for the Kuttiyattam show at Salle Pleyel on June 26th, 2010. Further details of the show. Total duration of the show, starting from 04:00 PM on June 26th, 2010, including 2 intervals, is 8 hours 40 minutes.

10) The prize (invitation) will be sent to the winner by post after the receipt of their valid postal address by IIP. The invitation is in the name of 'Indians in Paris' which the winner will be able to exchange for the actual places of the show from the ticket counter of Salle Pleyel (venue of the show) on presentation of the invitation on the day of the show, i.e; June 26th, 2010 between 03:00 PM- 03:30 PM.

11) The prize can not be sold or exchanged for cash/ kind. No substitution of the prize for cash or other goods and services is permitted,

12) The participants and the winner waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. You assume sole liability for injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property or prize, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in this contest or the acceptance, loss, shipment, or use of any prize awarded. IIP is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. All of IIP's decisions regarding the application and interpretation of the Rules are final.

13) Subject to the foregoing, IIP shall not be responsible for any liability, loss, damage, cost or expense sustained by you arising out of, or in connection, with your entry into this Contest or use of the prize.

14) Should any condition contained in this Contract prove unenforceable, void or incomplete, the validity of the other conditions will remain unaffected.
