OMKARA II- Raghunath Manet with Didier Lockwood

The sound has a sacred value. It is associated with the myth of the creation of the universe. Omkara is the source of all the sounds. It is with this sound that Shiva created the world. Omkara is also the meeting ground of musicians in the quest of creation and the chance that brings them together- Indian musician and dancer Raghunath Manet, violin player Didier Lockwood with Aurélie Claire Prost and Indian percussionist Murugan.

Ten years after the enormous success of the Show Omkara, the dancer-musician Raghunath Manet and the famous jazz violin player Didier Lockwood get back together at Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse for Omkara II, their new show devoted to the magic of artistic and cultural miscegenatione between dance and music at the heart of improvisation.

In November, at 07:00 PM everyday from 16th-30th except on Sundays at 03:00 PM. No show on Mondays and Friday the 18th.

Le son a une valeur sacrée. Il est associé au mythe de la création du monde. L'Omkara est la source de tous les sons. C'est à ce son que le dieu Shiva créa le monde. Des musiciens en quête de création et le hasard qui fait les belles rencontres. Le violoniste Didier Lockwood, le danseur et musicien indien Raghunath Manet, avec Aurélie Claire Prost et le percussionniste indien Murugan. La fusion jaillit, comme si l'œuvre n'attendait plus que de naître.

Dix ans après l'énorme succès du spectacle Omkara, le grand danseur et musicien Raghunath Manet et le célèbre violoniste de jazz Didier Lockwood se retrouvent au Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse pour Omkara II, nouveau spectacle consacré à la magie du métissage artistique et culturel entre danse et musique au coeur de l'improvisation. Une invitation au voyage féérique.
