An exhibition of photographs by Antonio Martinelli that gives another view of the architectural splendours and landscapes of Lucknow of yesterday and today, an invitation for a voyage and contemplation...
An echo to the exhibition « A Royal Court in India: Lucknow (18th-19th century) », this photo exhibition will present a series of contemporary photographs presents in the rotonde on the 4th floor of the Guimet museum. Antonio Martinelli has photographed Lucknow from the same point of view as the artists of yore. This artistic projects presents itself as a witness to the change, the degradations, but also the renovations, thus creating a bridge between two artistic visions: that of the ancient images and of the contemporary photographers.

Open everyday except Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM. Ticket counter closes at 05:15 PM. Museum closed on May 1st, 2011.

Photo Exposition: Lucknow- au miroir du temps
Une exposition de photographies d’Antonio Martinelli offrira un autre regard sur les splendeurs architecturales et les paysages de Lucknow d’hier et d’aujourd’hui, comme une invitation au voyage et à la contemplation…
En écho à l’exposition « Une cour royale en Inde : Lucknow (XVIII ème – XIX ème siècle) », une série de photographies contemporaines sera présentée dans la rotonde du quatrième étage du musée Guimet. Antonio Martinelli a photographié Lucknow des mêmes points de vue que les artistes du passé. Ce projet artistique se présente comme un témoignage sur les changements, les dégradations, mais aussi les rénovations, créant ainsi un pont entre les deux visions artistiques : celles des images anciennes et celle des photographies contemporaines.
