Weeks after Diwali - the great festival of lights- has been celebrated by Indians the world over, Indians in Paris are in no mood to hang their festival boots. The festivities continue with Diwali celebrations in India House where the local Indians and Indophiles will reunite to celebrate the spirit.

From the modern day crowning of Indians in the World Cup Cricket to the nawabs of yore who ruled the princely courts of North India, the month is replete with retrospective of Indian history in the 18th-19th century and a contemporary look at some of the cities involved with the Indian season at Guimet Museum. A rich programme with exhibition, photo exhibitions, conferences, and films built around the theme are the highlights of the month.
With a royal theme, it is only pertinent that Bollywood Maharadjahs, from a family steeped in music for more than 12 generations, patronised by the erstwhile royal courts of Rajasthan, be our Indians under spotlight this month.
This is the month of celebration of womanhood and of the achievements of women in different domains. At IIP, we honour and salute women everywhere this month with a rich and diverse program on and by Indian women- Amrita Shergill, Vaibhavi Merchant, Radhika Jha and Brigitte Chataignier to name some...
River Ganges is the epitome of Indian femininity- mother, goddess and nourisher. No less than three different programs pay her homage this month. Ganga- Dance creation by Brigitte Chataignier, documentary film Water/ Ganga by artist Velu Vishwanadhan and an Evening of documentary films on Ganga by Patrice Chagnard and Jothiammal Nagar.

Monthly E-motions- Intellectual February
